64 Bridgend is a character-filled period property in a fantastic setting. Perched next to Newton Creek, this terraced cottage makes the most of its waterside location. Its open-plan kitchen-diner has an adjoining area with comfy seating overlooking the river through a large floor-to-ceiling glazed wall, a stunning added feature.

Those wonderful views get better still as you slip outside through sliding doors onto a balcony, which steps down to a patio terrace with a table and seating – perfect for outdoor dining or a drink with the sights and sounds of the water immediately below, and views stretching out down the creek.

There’s plenty else to enjoy inside the property too. The kitchen features impressive equipment, including an integrated oven, full height fridge and dishwasher, microwave, large hob, double sink and Nespresso coffee machine. A freezer and washing machine are housed separately in a utility room. Slate flooring, natural wood finishes, leather seating, and soft, muted colours tones bring a calming atmosphere throughout.

Location

Bridgend is located in Noss Mayo on the edge of Newton Creek, an inlet of the River Yealm. Noss Mayo and neighbouring Newton Ferrers are waterside villages in a scenic and desirable corner of South Devon, near the coast.

The position of this holiday let immediately next to the creek provides wonderful views and convenient access to the water for sailing, paddleboarding or wild swimming – or simply for enjoying the delights of being by the river beside the sloping banks of this pretty estuary. Newton and Noss have lots to offer during your holiday – a choice of family—friendly pubs that serve great food, plus a shop, Post Office and butchers.

One of the biggest attractions of the villages is the scenic options for nature walks. Head through ancient woodland, winding lanes or open countryside and take in the breathtaking cliffside views across the English Channel as you wander the South West Coast Path. Getting there

By car
Travel along the A38 to Yealmpton. At a crossroad in the villages, turn down into Torr Hill (B3186) and continue onto Ford Road. Follow this road all the way into Newton Ferrers. Continue onto Parsonage Road then onto Bridgend Hill. Follow this road with Newton Creek on your right then at the head of the creek, take a sharp right round into Stoke Road. The holiday property is located a short way along, on your right.

By train
There are plenty of train services to Plymouth city centre. From here, there is a bus service to Noss Mayo but it is infrequent – you may find it easier to use one of the many taxi services available for the remaining half-hour journey to your holiday let.

By coach
There are numerous coach services serve Plymouth, arriving in the heart of the city centre. From here, there is a local bus service is available but it is infrequent. You may find it more convenient to take a taxi for the half-hour drive to Noss Mayo.
