This impressive holiday let is in a stunning location on the edge of the Yealm estuary in the heart of Noss Mayo, a picture-perfect village on Devon’s south coast.
Noss Mayo and its sister village Newton Ferrers are a gem for water lovers. The sheltered estuary is ideal for sailing, kayaking or paddleboarding. And with , getting out on the river couldn’t be more convenient.
The villages offer plenty of amenities to call on during your stay. There’s a grocery shop, butcher and pharmacy on hand for supplies. Plus, you have a great choice of pubs to try, including the lovely Swan Inn immediately next door – handy for a casual pint or a delicious gastro meal.
Noss Mayo offers some wonderful walks. From your doorstep, you can wander through quaint lanes and ancient forest out to the South West Coast Path, where you’ll be met by rugged cliffs and sensational views over the English Channel. Take a short drive out of Noss to discover stunning sandy beaches, beautiful countryside and Plymouth, with its cultural attractions, diverse shopping centre and the historic cobbled lanes of the Barbican.
Getting there
By car
Take the A38 to Yealmpton (heading towards Plymouth if coming from the east) and exit at Smithaleigh/Yealmpton. Then turn left into Torr Hill and onto Ford Road, continuing into Newton Ferrers. Take a left onto Yealm Road then left again onto Church Park Road. Turn right onto Bridgend Hill then at the end of the creek, a sharp right onto Stoke Road. Take the right fork onto Pillory Hill and continue onto Creekside Road, where you’ll find your holiday let on your left, immediately after the Swan Inn.
By train
There are frequent rail services arriving at Plymouth city centre. From here, there is a bus service to Noss Mayo but it is infrequent so timings should be checked. Alternatively, there are numerous taxi services to take you on the remaining half-hour journey to your holiday house.
By coach
Numerous coach services to Plymouth city centre are available. When arriving in Plymouth, a local bus service can be used – but if the timings aren’t suitable, it may be easier to take a taxi for the remaining half-hour drive to your Devon holiday let in Noss Mayo.
