Devon Holiday Lets is an independent, family-run business dedicated to giving guests a great British holiday in some of Devon’s most beautiful locations. We work with a select number of property owners to provide a sensational selection of perfectly positioned, high-quality self-catering holiday lets across the county.
Our primary service to property owners is to perform as a booking agency, flying the flag for their unique holiday let through our website and across diverse marketing channels. We also offer flexible levels of property management for owners, performing the array of practical tasks essential to running a holiday home efficiently and to a high standard. Everything we do is personal, from our close working relationships with owners, to drawing on the services of local tradespeople who we know and trust to deliver a proficient, honest service.
Devon Holiday Lets opened for business in 2021, Launching a tourism-based venture at the height of a global pandemic crisis might seem a curious choice of timing. But moments like these can present a welcome opportunity to take a new direction and look to the future. As we emerge from a series of lockdowns, restrictions and sacrifices, quality leisure time will be a more treasured asset than ever. And with international travel continuing to be fraught with uncertainties, domestic holidays will take a central role for many people in the UK hoping to get away. We know that Devon epitomises what a great British holiday can be, and are passionate about providing individuals, families and groups of friends a much-needed break in this beautiful corner of the country.

Who is behind Devon Holiday Lets?
The business is independently owned and managed by its founder Laura Goodchild. Having treasured memories of Devon from her own childhood holidays at the seaside, Laura has a deep-rooted connection to the county. She loved Devon so much, in fact, it’s where she calls home today. Laura loves to sample the offerings of the county’s richly diverse food and drink scene. Exploring the spectacular coastline with which Devon is blessed is also high on her agenda – one of her favourite spots is on the Noss Mayo stretch of the South West Coast Path, looking out to the Mewstone in the English Channel (shown here in a snap from one of Laura’s regular coastal strolls).
With a wealth of knowledge that comes with living in South Devon, Laura is passionate about sharing Devon’s delights with guests seeking the perfect English getaway. What’s more, her professional background equips her with just the right blend of skills and experience. Having completed extensive studies in hospitality management, and leisure and tourism, Laura has earned her stripes working in business development, marketing and events within the hospitality sector, including in a former role for an iconic Devon hotel. A brimming CV, together with what she calls a ‘roll-your-sleeves-up attitude’ makes Laura and Devon tourism an ideal match.
