Honeysuckle Cottage is a lovely traditional house set beside Newton Creek in Noss Mayo, South Devon.
The property has plenty of Devon cottage charm, with exposed ceiling beams and thick stone walls attesting to its heritage. It offers a bright and homely welcome, thanks to soft cream walls, carpets and comfy sofas. And there are plenty of modern comforts to make for a restful stay, including a kitchen fitted with a dishwasher and microwave, and a shower wetroom on the ground floor in addition to the family bathroom upstairs.
Outside, a rear terraced garden provides a relaxing spot to enjoy the fresh air, and the views of the leafy valley slopes around Noss, as well as the village of Newton Ferrers on the opposite side of the creek.

Location
Honeysuckle Cottage is a traditional terraced cottage in the heart of Noss Mayo, a picturesque waterside village in South Devon. The house is located in the Conservation Area of the village among similar period properties and is almost immediately next to Newton Creek.
Noss Mayo, together with the village of Newton Ferrers opposite, is set around the Yealm Estuary, offering great opportunities for sailing and paddleboarding. Honeysuckle Cottage is perfectly positioned to take advantage of this riverside position. It is just seconds away from Newton Creek, an inlet of River Yealm, and a short stroll from the lovely Ship Inn, where you can enjoy gastro meals, ice creams and a fine selection of beers and wines beside the water.
You’ll also find fantastic walks from your doorstep, taking you through woodland, open countryside and alongside the river out to the English Channel coast and its spectacular scenery. Beyond the immediate vicinity, you’re within easy reach of sandy beaches, Plymouth’s urban attractions, and the allure of the wider Devon and Cornwall region.
Getting there
By car
If coming from outside the Westcountry, head to Exeter then west along the A38. Take the exit for Smithaleigh/Yealmpton and when you arrive in Yealmpton, turn left into Torr Hill, driving on to Ford Road and along the B3186. From here, you turn left into Widey Hill and on into Newton Ferrers. At Noss Mayo, turn onto Stoke Road, continuing onto Revelstoke Road, then along Chequers Haigh and onto Coach Road, then right into Foundry Lane. Your holiday let is on the right.
By train
Catch a train service to Plymouth city centre. From here, there is a bus service to Noss Mayo but it is infrequent. Alternatively, there are numerous taxi services to take you on the short remaining journey to your holiday let.

There are numerous coach services arriving in Plymouth city centre. From here, there is an infrequent local bus service to Noss Mayo. You might prefer to use a local taxi service for the remaining half-hour drive to Noss Mayo.
