Features & amenities
Each of the lodges at Briar Hill is a purpose-built, detached holiday home. These stylish and comfortable properties have been thoughtfully constructed and arranged, making them ideally suited to a family or group getaway.
At each lodge, you’ll find a roomy, airy living area connected to the kitchen and dining area in a sociable open-plan set-up. The big statement feature of the living space is the floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall glazing. This floods the space with natural light and brings a sense of space and openness. The bedrooms, meanwhile, are neatly arranged off a corridor, allowing the children to get some peace and quiet at bedtime if the grown-ups are still up! And each lodge has a lovely indoor-outdoor flow thanks to an decked terrace on the same level as the interior.
While each of the lodges in our collection at Briar Hill has these features in common, they also have their own individual characteristics – with different designs and sizes. Take a look at each of the separate listings below to discover what each lodge has to offer.

Location
Briar Hill is a small, peaceful setting on the edge of Newton Ferrers, a village near the South Devon Coast.
This development comprises a collection of similar holiday lodges, many of which we represent at Devon Holiday Lets. It is surrounded by farmland and countryside, making this a tranquil spot to escape to. Plus it’s only a short walk away from heart of the villages of Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo, where life revolves around the picturesque Yealm Estuary.
There’s a wealth of sights and activities to enjoy in Newton and Noss. If you like to get out on the water, it’s perfect for paddleboarding and kayaking, and the ideal staging point for a sailing trip.
And you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to local pubs, with no fewer than three at which to grab a drink or enjoy a relaxed meal. The villages also boast some of Devon’s most scenic walks, including a circular route that takes in the spectacular clifftop views of the South West Coast Path,
Beyond the villages, there’s a treasure trove of treats to discover in the wider Devon and Cornwall region. The ancient maritime city of Plymouth is a short drive away and offers a wealth of cultural attractions, food and entertainment. And if you love the beach, there’s an abundance of glorious sandy bays to delight you.
