How the Covid pandemic affects your booking with Devon Holiday Lets

Updated 15 June 2021

All holiday accommodation is now allowed to open in England. Up to six people from multiple households, or any number from two households, can stay together under current regulations.

Regarding the activities you’ll be able to do while on holiday, most indoor public venues – including restaurants, pubs, bars, gyms, spas, theatres, museums and cinemas – are now open, although measures around limited capacities, social distancing, face coverings and hand sanitising continue to apply. Gatherings above six people or two households are still not allowed indoors.

It is hoped that the remaining pandemic restrictions can be lifted on 21st June 2021. However, the government’s decision on will depend on infection rates and other data closer to the time. As the situation changes, we will change our guidelines accordingly and update this page with the latest information.

Making our lets Covid-safe

We deep clean and thoroughly ventilate each property between stays to ensure the least possible risk for the next group arriving at the property. This does mean a different check-in and check-out schedule to normal to allow extra time to complete the cleaning process. You can enter your holiday let from 4pm on arrival and are required to check out by 9am on your departure day.

Cancellations due to Covid

If you are forced to cancel your holiday booking for a reason related to the Covid pandemic, such as having to self-isolate due to a positive test for you or someone in your household, or a change in government rules, we can either arrange an alternative booking date, or if you would prefer, refund any amount you have paid on your booking (whether that is the deposit or full amount). We will, however, retain a £25 administrative fee for cancelled bookings. Cancellations due to any reason not related to the Covid pandemic will be subject to our usual cancellation policy.

With international travel far more restricted this year, and complicated by a range of factors, a UK break is an excellent option for a safe trip away without the risk of expensive and disruptive cancellations or quarantining. After a year of difficulty and sacrifice, many of us are longing for a holiday – and Devon Holiday lets are here to help you enjoy a safe, relaxing break in the beautiful setting of Devon.
