Location
This holiday let is located in Newton Ferrers, a scenic and quintessential Devon village. The property is part of Briar Hill Farm residential park, with private access for residents and guests.
Newton Ferrers forms a twin community together with Noss Mayo on the opposite side of the Yealm Estuary. This area offers picturesque riverside walks and ample opportunities for water-based activities such as sailing and paddleboarding. It’s also a short distance from the coast, which offers wonderful walks along the South West Coast Path, sandy beaches, rocky coves and spectacular views.
There is a thriving local community, with essential services including shops, a Post Office and pharmacy within easy reach. Noss and Newton are also blessed with a choice of three local pubs, serving up a great selection of beverages and a variety of meals. A short drive will take you to the maritime and cultural attractions of Plymouth, and if you want to hop counties for a day, the unique charms of Cornwall.
Getting there
By car
Take the A38 towards Plymouth (if coming from outside the Westcountry), then the exit for Smithaleigh/Yealmpton and when you arrive in Yealmpton, turn left into Torr Hill and onto Ford Road and along the B3186. From here, follow signs to Newton Ferrers. Drive into the village and along the main street to The Green. Briar Hill is on your right, just before the church.
By train
You can catch a train service to Plymouth city centre. From here, there is a bus service to Newton Ferrers but it is infrequent. It may be more convenient to take a taxi service for the remaining half-hour journey to the holiday lodge.
By coach
Numerous coach services serve Plymouth, arriving in the city centre. From here, an infrequent local bus service is available or it’s easy to take a taxi for the half-hour drive to your holiday let in Newton Ferrers.
