Purpose built for holidays, its open-plan space connects the living, dining and kitchen areas seamlessly. High vaulted ceilings with rooflights create a sense of generous space and brightness. This is enhanced by the use of a warm white shade throughout.

There’s a sense of quality in every part of the lodge. From the sleek cream kitchen and solid wooden dining table to the fully tiled bathroom with stylish sanitaryware, everything looks clean, crisp and contemporary.

The pleasing features continue outside the lodge. A decked veranda terrace is accessible through sliding doors on the same level, creating a smooth indoors-outdoors connection. Dine or enjoy a drink out in the open air at the outdoor table and chairs, while the chic glass balustrades allow you to enjoy the tranquil green surroundings.

Location

This holiday property is positioned on Briar Hill Holiday Park in Newton Ferrers, a waterside village near the coast in South Devon.

Briar Hill is a small group of dedicated holiday lodges in a quiet location of the edge of Newton Ferrers. It’s just a short walk from the main Newton Ferrers village, which with its neighbouring village Noss Mayo, surrounds the picturesque Yealm estuary.

Newton and Noss have plenty to offer for a Devon holiday break, whether you want to take it easy or engage in something a little more adventurous. It’s a picturesque spot for a gentle stroll around the estuary. Or watching the world go by one of the area’s lovely waterside pubs while enjoying a meal, a coffee or something stronger.

If you’re seeking more active pursuits, Newton and Noss is the place to be for sailing, kayaking or paddleboarding. Plus, you’ll find some of Devon’s finest walks, including a circular route that takes in woodland, country paths and the spectacularly scenic South West coast path, with views out across the English Channel.

Getting there

By car
Drive along the A38 into Devon, heading towards Plymouth, then take the exit for Smithaleigh/Yealmpton. When you arrive in Yealmpton, turn left into Torr Hill, continuing onto Ford Road and the B3186. From here, follow signs to Newton Ferrers and continue into the village and along the main street to The Green. You’ll find Briar Hill Holiday Park on your right, just before the church.

By train
You can catch a train service to Plymouth city centre. From here, there is a bus service to Newton Ferrers but it is infrequent. You may find it more convenient to take a taxi service for the remaining half-hour journey to your holiday lodge.

By coach
Numerous coach services serve Plymouth, arriving in the city centre. From here, you can catch a local bus to Newton Ferrers if the timings suit. You may find it more convenient to take a taxi for final half-hour leg to your Newton Ferrers holiday let.

Noss Mayo is another pretty village nestled on the opposite bank of the River Yealm. A 25 minute stroll takes you around the creek to the other side, where alternative views and various nature-filled walks await, along with an extra selection of pubs to check out.
