Westfield sits in a picturesque setting overlooking the tranquil Yealm estuary in Newton Ferrers, a coastal village nestled in the south-western tip of Devon.

Together with its sister village, Noss Mayo, located just across the estuary, Newton Ferrers is a quiet, welcoming community surrounded by lush hills, tidal waters, and meandering country lanes. It’s an ideal spot for a peaceful and scenic escape in Devon.

The surrounding area offers plenty to enjoy, from scenic footpaths that trace the estuary and stretch out to the coast, to breathtaking views of the South Devon cliffs meeting the wide open sea of the English Channel.

Within the villages, you’ll discover a handful of characterful pubs offering hearty meals, coffee, sweet treats, and a range of drinks including locally brewed ales. A well-stocked village shop and a traditional butcher’s are also within walking distance for any essentials you might need during your stay.

Getting there

By car

Aim for Yealmpton on the A38, taking the exit for Smithaleigh/Yealmpton. At Yealmpton, turn left into Torr Hill, driving on to Ford Road and along the B3186 and continue onto Parsonage Road. As you enter the village, turn left into Yealm Road. Take a left turn onto Newton Hill, then take a right onto Riverside Road West. The off-road parking bay for Westfield is a little way along, on your right.

By train
There are frequent rail services to Plymouth city centre. From here, there is a bus service to Newton Ferrers. If the timings aren’t convenient, it may be easier to take a taxi for the remaining half-hour journey to your holiday let.

By coach
Numerous coach services arrive at Plymouth station, located in the centre of the city. From here, a local bus service is available to Newton Ferrers – or you may find it more convenient to take a taxi service for the remaining half-hour drive to your holiday house.
