Yealm Lodge is a detached lodge purpose-built for relaxing holidays. It offers an open-plan dining and kitchen space, with the bedrooms and connected outdoor decked terrace all arranged over one level – the ideal layout for a comfortable and sociable break.

Large French doors open onto a generous level decked area – a wonderful extension to the lodge that invites you to enjoy a drink or a meal outdoors in the fresh Devon air.

Location

This lodge is one of a group of similar properties at Briar Hill Holiday Park, a peaceful, private rural setting in Newton Ferrers, South Devon.

The property is located in the village, just a five-minute walk from amenities such as a Co-op shop, cafe and delicatessen, and a ten-minute walk to the Post Office and The Dolphin pub. It’s also close to the neighbouring village of Noss Mayo. Together, Newton and Noss are set around the beautiful Yealm estuary. Explore quintessential winding Devon lanes dotted with pretty cottages. Take a walk out to the spectacular coastline, with views out to the Great Mewstone and down into Cornwall.

There’s plenty else to enjoy in and around Newton and Noss. You might like to kayak or paddleboard, or simply to amble around the shoreline and paddle your feet. And there’s a great choice of pubs, where you can while away the hours with a meal and a drink beside the water.

You have ample options for fun and engaging days out too. Take a trip to one of the area’s beautiful sandy beaches, head to the wild moors or pop into Plymouth for shops, restaurants, cultural events and rich maritime history.

Getting there

By car
Take the A38 into Devon, heading towards Plymouth, then take the exit marked Smithaleigh/Yealmpton. From Yealmpton, turn left into Torr Hill, continuing onto Ford Road and the B3186. Then follow signs to Newton Ferrers, continuing into the village and through the main street to The Green. You’ll find Briars Hill Holiday Park on your right-hand side, just before the church.

By train
You can catch a train from many locations to Plymouth city centre. From here, take a taxi for the remaining half-hour journey to your holiday lodge – or there’s a local local bus service to Newton Ferrers from Plymouth’s Royal Parade.

By coach
Coaches arrive conveniently in the heart of the city centre. From here, you can catch a local bus or it may work better to take one of the many available taxis for the remaining half-hour drive to your holiday lodge in Newton Ferrers.
