All I can say is wow! We have visited Newton Ferrers for many years but this was the first time that we stayed in a place of our own. And what a place. You could not ask for a better house to stay in the village. It is slap bang in the middle. Just a few steps to the Dolphin Inn and the yacht club. And literally first line of sight to the water. There is something quite incredible about sitting having your breakfast with sailing dinghies passing your window.

The house itself has been renovated and refurbished to an extraordinary level. While it is compact with just two bedrooms it really packs a punch. The sitting/dining/kitchen is brilliant. Top range appliances, the most brilliant lay out, an incredible fire place and the coolest mirror TV you have ever seen- although there is so much going on that watching TV is the last thing you will do. Upstairs the bedrooms are airy with stunning views. The shower rooms are luxurious, the beds are super comfy – with every modern amenity you could ask for.

And then you go outside! In front of the house with unparalleled views up and down the creek is a wonderfully private terrace over the water. Just the place to laze around and watch the world go by.

In summary – Moose Cottage is simply perfect. There is really only one problem with it. You can only rent it – not buy it!

Richard & Sandy D

“Moose is a real find. A fabulous cottage in a great waterside location with lovely walks and pubs on the doorstep. What could be better? We were delighted to discover that it had just been beautifully restored and updated, embracing both a funky, contemporary vibe and showcasing its rich (fisherman’s cottage) history. Everything is top quality and super comfy – and the views are to die for. Our hosts really went the extra mile and we’ve already booked our next visit!’’
