Skyview Lodge is a stylish and spacious holiday lodge. Arranged over a single level, the lodge is designed for a family or group holiday break, with an open-plan living, kitchen and dining area, and bedrooms located off a corridor.

The living space takes advantage of its high vaulted ceiling with a picture window at its end, making a statement and flooding the lodge with natural light. It also includes a pair of large French doors, connecting the indoors with a lovely decked area on the same level. With an outdoor table and seating, this space invites you to enjoy the fresh air and the rural backdrop visible from this elevated spot at the edge of the park.

Inside, Skyview Lodge is rich in home comforts. From the soft sofas and big TV in the living space to the well-equipped kitchen and breakfast bar, there’s everything you need here for pleasant day-to-day living. A solid wood dining set and attractive tiled walk-in shower indicate the high-quality standard of features here. And the white walls, accented by splashes of fresh yellow, plus an abundance of windows and skylights, give the place a light, fresh and modern feel.

Location

The lodge is one of a set of similar holiday properties located at Briar Hill, a quiet park in a rural location on the edge of Newton Ferrers. It is positioned in an elevated spot at the back of the park, providing a nice vantage point

The park is only a short distance from the heart of Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo, twin villages that skirt around Newton Creek, a picturesque tidal inlet that forms part of the Yealm estuary.

This laid-back riverside setting is a wonderful place to relax. You’ll find a series of lovely pubs where you can enjoy delicious food, coffees and teas, and ice creams. There are some seriously scenic walks around the quaint village lanes and out through serene woodland and countryside to the spectacular cliffside views of the coast.

Beyond Newton and Noss, you’ll find a world of delights to discover in nearby Devon and Cornwall. Lounge, paddle or swim at one of the area’s wide choice of idyllic sandy beaches. Getting there

By car
Take the A38 into Devon, heading towards Plymouth, then take the exit marked Smithaleigh/Yealmpton. From Yealmpton, turn left into Torr Hill, continuing onto Ford Road and the B3186. Then follow signs to Newton Ferrers, continuing into the village and through the main street to The Green. You’ll find Briar Hill on your right-hand side, just before the church.

By train
There are numerous and frequent train services to Plymouth city centre. From here, take a taxi for the remaining half-hour journey to your holiday lodge – or you can check out the bus local (but not very frequent) bus service to Newton Ferrers from Plymouth’s Royal Parade.

By coach
Coaches arrive conveniently in the heart of the city centre. From here, you can catch a local bus if timing allow, or simply use a taxi service for the remaining half-hour drive to your holiday lodge in Newton Ferrers.

It’s short walk to the heart of Newton Ferrers, with Noss Mayo just around the corner, on the opposite side of the creek. This tranquil corner of the South Hams offers breathtakingly scenic walks, lovely traditional pubs, and opportunities for sailing and paddleboarding.

Mothecombe Beach
